Of course, we gathered around to see… Here’s a picture of us but without the “kiti-kiti”. Planking! To be fun and creative or to be plain stupid?!

Image
Planking...  I have been noticing that there is a new craze in town! It’s planking or the practice of lying down flat with arms to the side, to mimic a wooden plank. source   Planking has been in the news lately and of course in social networking sites. Of course, some people might not understand the logic behind this craze. Some people actually think it’s just stupid. But for those who have done it or even plans of doing it, they say that it's the most fun you can have being still. As for me, I don’t know if I will ever try it… but I admire the people who have done it. I believe it is a form of expression and sometimes might even be called a form of art. Who would ever think that planking can be done at odd places such as on top of signages, on top of toilet cubicles or even light posts?! I believe it takes a lot of guts, creativity and skill for a person to attempt planking in such odd places. But on a serious note, there’s a man in Australia who died for trying to plank on

Wee Nam Kee -- a taste of Singaporean Cuisine

Image
My brother in-law would like his dad to have a taste of authentic Singaporean food… and of course the first thing that comes to our mind when we talk about Singaporean Food is no other than “Hainanese Chicken Rice”… Though Hainanese Chicken Rice originated from Hainan, China, it has now also found its home in Singapore as their national dish due to immigration. It is also known as Singaporean Chicken Rice it is served either steamed or roasted. Fortunately, we now have Wee Nam Kee restaurant here in the Philippines. They actually opened late last year and I have read several blogs about it. Wee Nam Kee has made its name originally in Singapore as a top contender for serving the best Hainanese chicken rice alongside Boon Tong Kee and Tian Tian. As I have read in one of the blogs, all their ingredients are sourced locally.  Their secret is that the chickens are freshly delivered everyday from 3 small farm suppliers that alternate delivery. They are chilled -- not frozen. Now

It's back! Coca-cola can glasses in Mcdonalds!!!

Image
Some of you may already know that I like collecting coca-cola glasses that are being sold in McDonalds... I think it started with the glasses for 2008 Beijing Olympics, then since it became a hit, they offered it in 2009 which now comes in 6 vibrant colors -- pink, green, blue, lime, charcoal and purple . Then by 2010, they offered for the FIFA World Cup... Now for 2011, instead of the usual contour coca-cola glasses, they offer coca-cola can glasses!!! Philippines might be a little late already because I know it was already offered in Singapore... But I was happy to see a streamer in McDonalds Laguna Bel-air that in 3 days.. finally, it will be available here in the Philippines!!! Of course! I want! I want! I want all colors!
