The world of Blogging

This is my toastmaster speech # 7 - Research your topic ===================================== Do you remember the TV series – Doogie Howser MD during the 90’s? It is about a 16-year old doctor who shares stories of being the youngest doctor and at the same time, shares his experience in trying to live a normal teenage life. The show ends with a scene wherein Doogie Howser writes or better yet types in his diary on the computer. This show became my inspiration – not to become a doctor but rather, to keep a diary in my computer when I was young. Just like Doogie Howser, I would end my day with an entry in my diary. I was able to maintain my diary for quite some time… but unfortunately I got busy with other things that I could not find time to write on my diary daily and then eventually I just had to stop. Just a few years back, Eunice, a friend of mine introduced me to her blog . It serves as her online diary. I actually got hooked to reading her every entry and following her blog d

Papa John's Pizza - now open in BF Homes Paranaque

Image
Gerard and I are really into trying out new burger joints, pizza parlors etc. So when we saw that Papa John’s Pizza recently opened a branch along President’s Avenue in BF Homes, we decided to head over this restaurant. After all, Gerard said that he heard good things about this place. Actually, this popular pizza joint was started by John “Papa John” Schnatter in Jefferson, Indiana. Just like most other restaurants in BF, parking was very limited, which can make it quite challenging for diners. But since we have observed that the place is jam-packed during lunch, we opted to try it out on a Sunday night. Good thing, we were able to get a parking space right in front of the restaurant. The atmosphere is vibrant as the restaurant has a very cheerful and bright interior. The dark colored, cushioned-leather seats and tables gives a sharp contrast to the maroon-colored walls. Instead of the usual paintings and photographs that you would see in most pizza joints, there are wooden pizza sh

Life's Lessons... You'll know...

Image
Life is full of mysteries... and of course, as people, we are full of questions... For example... when I was a kid.. I asked older people... how will you know if you are in- love? And they just said... you will know.... I did not understand what that means... but when I fell in love... I just knew it.... Then when I attempted to to learn how to drive (manual transmission)... I again asked people, how will you know if you need to change gears? Again, they just said... you will know... I had to stop my driving lessons because I am pregnant and I do not want to get stressed... I am still puzzled and I still don't understand when to really change gears... And as mentioned, now that I am pregnant... I asked again... when will I know if what I am feeling are really baby kicks? Again... for the nth time... they just said... you will know... Hay... life truly is full of mysteries... and I think that is one of the few things I know... :)

How to Buy: A Stroller

Image
Good Baby 12K Php, stroller with car seat plus diaper bag, 2 cushions and 1 mosquito net. 1 hand fold, front suspension Since we are soon-to-be-parents... we are starting to check out baby stuff... I would just like to share with you an article I read in the internet... Thanks to the website " The Bump " ==================== Sure, comfort and style are important; but when it comes to choosing baby’s new wheels, that’s just the beginning. With the seemingly endless stroller options and technologies on the market, picking one out can feel even more confusing than buying a new car. And with so many different styles directed at some many different lifestyles, there’s simply no way to say which one’s “best.” There are, though, some basic, nonnegotiable features that you should look for in any stroller. Newborn appropriate: Since newborns aren’t yet able to sit up on their own, they need a seat that either fully reclines or accommodates an infant carrier. If you go f
