My Simple Wish on my birthday

Image
Flashback to years ago, during the time when Gerard was still courting me, he asked what I want for my birthday and I told him - I want the small, powder- blue Lacoste bag. I also told him the things that I will do on that day - from attending mass early morning- going to office the whole day etc…  I am sure he bought the bag - the only surprise will be the time on when he will give it. He did not know that I planned my whole get up - from clothes to shoes to match that bag. My birthday came- he attended mass with me, but the question is- did he give me the bag? No.  So I went to the office- they planned a little surprise and ask Gerard to come over. Of course, he then showed up with  flowers… such a sweet gesture I must say. But did he give me the bag? still no.  So imagine, I wore matching outfit and shoes but no bag to matched with. So when my day was about to end, I went home and changed to my sleeping clothes. Only then Gerard went to the house to give the gift-...

I Still Date My Ex-GF -- Bo Sanchez

Just sharing an article sent by my officemate... Thanks Jaz!   =================== I Still Date My Ex-GF by Bo Sanchez on Wednesday, February 16, 2011 at 11:22pm Call Me Crazy,  But She Still Makes My Heart Go Pumpity-Pump I’m not giving you my usual 8-page article today. Because today is Valentines, let me resurrect an article I wrote about my Ex-GF. After 12.5 years of marriage, I’m still crazy for this special woman. I realize that being with her is my little piece of heaven on earth. Here’s my proof: So far, I’ve had 652 romantic dates with my wife. (Yes, my wife. What were you thinking? She’s my ex-girlfriend, right?) That’s once per week for almost 12.5 beautiful years.  And I’ve loved every single one of them.  Our date night is sacred. Unless it’s an invitation from the President of the Republic, I say no to all invitations and meetings. Our marriage is what it is today because of those precious 652 dates. Call me corny. Call me deluded. Call me in denial...

Gerard & I

Gerard: Nangigigil ako sa ‘yo! Bubbles: Bakit? Because I am cute? Adorable? Gerard: Hindi. Gusto kitang sapakin! Bubbles: Nyah! Yes, my husband is sweet. Brutally sweet if I may say. Hehehe J We’ve been married for 2 years and 5 months already and since we still have no baby, most of the times, we still goof and play around the house. We act like kids playing bahay-bahayan. J We find ways to enjoy our moments of being together in the house, as husband and wife, as bestfriends, as playmates, or simply being “us”. We have our assigned roles in the house, he is the official cook while I am the official baker. I wash the cups, glasses and plates, while he is assigned to wash the pots and pans. I am assigned to segregate the dirty clothes while he is assigned to bring the laundry to my mom’s house. I will remove the old bedsheets, pillowcases and comforter while he is the one who puts the new beddings.   We also find ways to enjoy “me-time”.   There are times that I would cat...

Message of Hope

We are married now for 2 years and as I have mentioned in my last blog, we are hoping to have a baby soon… Baby Bubbles and Baby Gerard Last March 12, 2010, I got a pregnancy kit to check if I was positive. I was not expecting anything because I have checked several times and the result was always NEGATIVE... But this time... I saw 2 pink lines on the stick!!! It was around 5:30 AM and I literally cried when I saw that... Gerard thought something was wrong… and so I gave him the pee stick.. He just said... “so ano?” Of course, how can I expect him to know what the 2 lines mean.... I said… Positive! He asked why I was crying… I just said I am overjoyed…. We went to the doctor the next day but we were told to just come back after two weeks. At that time I was only 5 weeks pregnant and it’s too early to see the baby. Those two weeks were filled with joyful anticipation and excitement… I downloaded applications for my iphone for anything related to pregnancy. I even borro...

Let go and let God

Below is a speech I made last year for Toastmasters... This is actually an ice breaker speech because the requirement is just to be able to introduce yourself and conquer the fear of speaking in front of a group.  Warning: Speech contains highly emotional language which may not be good for your heart... =============== God works in mysterious ways. He has prepared the best plan for you…. So let go and let God. My mom had mumps when she was three to four months pregnant with her youngest daughter. She was then told by the doctor that the baby in her womb may be infected by the virus if she was three months. But there could be a better chance of not being infected if she was already in her fourth month. Since my mother could not exactly determine if her baby was three or four months, my mother and father became very worried during the remaining months of her pregnancy. They stormed heaven with prayers for both mother and child. With their strong faith in God, they claimed that t...
